Summer Spa Tips

Can I still use my hot tub in the summer?

We often get asked what’s the best way to make the most of a hot tub in the hot summer months. Although our great British summer can be temperamental with the weather, when the sun does shine, hopping into the heat of a hot tub might be the last thing you want to do!

Don’t let your spa go to waste this summer with the Arctic Team’s top tips:

Keep Hydrated

We all know that we’re meant to keep hydrated but sipping on a cold drink during your soak is even more important in hot weather. Take a refillable water bottle with you and keep topping it up!

Turn down the Heat

The ultimate hot tub temperature is all down to personal preference, with some of us liking it hotter than others but dropping the temperature slightly in the summer months will stop you getting hot and bothered! Cool down in the heat of the day by turning the heat below body temperature for a refreshing dip. A great way to save a few pennies too!

Timing is Everything

Make the most of those light mornings with a dip first thing in the day with your morning coffee before the day heats up or enjoy your hot tub as the sun is setting to unwind at the end of the day when it’s cooler.

Shower Power

To stop you getting too warm and ensure that you’re giving yourself tubbing breaks, alternate between short 15 minute dips in the hot tub and a cold shower for the spa like treatment that helps to brighten skin and invigorate your muscles.
